Believe it or not, the 76ers were not the worst team in the NBA last season. They finished with a record of 18-64 (.220%). They finished with two more wins than the Timberwolves and one more win than the Knicks. Still very bad but not the worst. They were awarded the 3rd pick in the NBA Draft and used that on center Jahlil Okafor from Duke. With Nerlens Noel and Joel Embiid already on the roster, I thought this was interesting. With Embiid out for the entire season again, Noel and Okafor might possibly share minutes at center or just start them together with Okafor at center. The 76ers also added Nik Stauskas from the Kings, who has struggled to find his 3pt stroke in his short career thus far but will possibly receive a lot of minutes for this terrible 76ers squad and may find it then. They have also acquired Carl Landry. They did traded for Jason Thompson in a package deal from the Kings but they traded him away to the Warriors for Gerald Wallace, whom they waived. Point guard Pierre Jackson is back on the roster as well. Thomas Robinson was their only key loss. The 76ers are still going to be amongst the worst in the league. That is why I will give them a trending: same grade. With Okafor, things are looking up. I have the 76ers ranked #30 coming into this new season.
